Fall River – Alexander Frank Tripp, 84, husband of the late Helen B. (Archibald) Hasson Tripp of West Main Road, Little Compton, RI died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was born in Westport, the son of the late Arthur V. Sr. and L. Agnes (Orcutt) Tripp. A 1938 graduate of Westport High School and a 1939 graduate of Stockbridge School of Agriculture, School of Animal Husbandry at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he was a self employed dairy farmer.

Mr. Tripp was a partner in Bojuma Farm Dairy, Westport before moving to Little Compton in 1960. He was a member of the Rhode Island Farm Bureau, served as director of Newport County Extension Service, president of Newport County Milk Producers Association and was a delegate for New England Milk Producers.

Survivors include a son: James W. Hasson of Westport; 6 daughters: Helen Tripp Schall of Barrington, RI, Dianne Tripp Booth of Little Compton, RI, Winifred Hasson Tripp of Westport, Patsy Hasson Reid of Vernon, CT, Bessie Hasson Tenchaira and Lois Hasson both of San Jose, CA; a brother: Donald C. Tripp of Little Compton, RI; 3 sisters: Virginia Towle of Meredith, NH, Gloria Vorwald of Roberts, WI and Olive Leite of Westport; and many grandchildren.

He was also the father of the late Charles Hasson and the brother of the late Arthur V. Tripp, Jr. and Norris E. Tripp.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
