Services Thursday For Mrs. Viereck
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Rock Rapids Methodist church for Mrs. Walter Viereck. the former Irene Kersbergen, who passed away in a Sioux Falls hospital Monday afternoon after a short illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arie Kersbergen of Sioux Falls.
She was born July 9, 1923 in Rock Valley. The family later moved to Rock Rapids where she graduated from the high school in 1941, She married Walter Viereck on November 11, 1941, and the family made their home in Sioux Falls where Mr. Viereck was employed.
She is survived by her husband and a ten month old son Clayton besides her mother and father, a brother Russell, a sister Maxine and many other relatives. Interment took place in the Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.
