B. F. Worden.

Died--At his home in this city, at 6:30 o'clock, Friday morning, July 3, 1908, Benjamin Franklin Worden, aged 71 years, 4 months and 11 days.

Benjamin F. Worden was born February 22, 1837 at Grafton, Ohio. He was married at Macomb, Ill., April 20, 1863 to Miss Christin Dunn and to them were born ten children four of whom are deceased and the six survivors are as follows: Charles W., Merritt W., Lewis D., Minnie M., Dora E., and Mary. The wife and mother passed away in 1886, and Mr. Worden was married again in 1887. He and his second wife separated some time afterward and in 1893 he was married a third time, to Flora Garell [sic]. To this union one child was born, Nona A., who with the wife survives him.

Mr. Worden moved his family to this city several years ago and he had been in failing health for most of the intervening time until death. He was a fond parent and home loving man who took great interest in the welfare of his family, and during his long illness the wife and youngest daughter who constituted his family at home gave him every attention and care within their power and made his last days as pleasant as possible.

Mr. Worden served his country in the war of the rebellion and was a member of the local G. A. R. Post.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, this city, at 2 o'clock p. m., Saturday, July 4, 1907, Elder L. G. Huff officiating.

Burial in LaHarpe cemetery.
