She was a resident of the Antelope Valley since 1940, where she worked along side her husband George in their bookkeeping business for 50 years. Irene is survived by her son; Roger Smith and daughter-in-law Nancy, grandchildren; Alex, Robbie and Amber, great-grandchildren; A.J. and Dakota, sister; Doris Collins. She was preceded in death by, her husband George, in January of this year. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2006. Funeral service to be held 12 noon Friday, December 22, 2006, both at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations, Lancaster. Graveside service to follow at Lancaster District Cemetery.
