Leona M. (Hyser) Kottmyer, 87 died Monday, December 29, 2003 at Manor Care Health Services Kingston Court. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. Kottmyer, whom she had been married to for 39 years in March.

Services will be private. The Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Kottmyer was born in York County on June 2, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Virgie Hyser. She retired from Thornet Industries in York. She was a member of the West York VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Kottmyer is survived by a son, Frank Herbst of Windsor; a daughter, Joan Grove of Red Lion; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A son, Clair M. Herbst, preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
