Rowell: Mr. Rowell was born in Georgia and is listed on the 1860 Taylor County census. He enlisted in the 2nd Florida Infantry Company L in June 1861 at Madison Florida, in January 1863 he joined Company E 11th Florida Infantry. He was injured by an exploding shell at Petersburg, Virginia, February, 1865. He applied for a soldier's pension December 24, 1890 and list his mailing address as Lake Bird, Florida, Taylor County. He died in May 22, 1896 in Taylor County.
