She was the widow of Harry G. Kerst, who died March 7, 2003. Betty was born in Berne Township and was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Webber) Rickenbach.
She was a 1945 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of St. John's Church, Port Clinton, and a choir member for over 50 years.
She worked for Allen Sherman Hoff, Hamburg, as a clerk for 21 years. She last worked for five years at CVS, Shoemakersville, retiring in 1989.
A daughter, Janice E., wife of Ronald Deppen, Port Clinton, survives Betty.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill
