Alda Carrie Wenger

Alda Carrie Wenger, 79, of Pontiac, formerly of Fairbury, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday (Oct. 17, 2003) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
She was born Sept. 27, 1924, in Herscher, a daughter of Phillip and Carrie Hartman. She married Harry Wenger on Sept. 20, 1962, in Pontiac. He died in June 1987.
She was formerly employed at Steffen Garment, Fairbury, for 27 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Angus, Fairbury; Gloria Babbs, Kingman, Ariz.; Donna Stehle, Forrest; and Kathy Rhoads, Fairbury; one son, Gary Babbs, Pontiac; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; one son; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Pontiac.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury, the Rev. Tom Krieger officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
