Born Dec. 22, 1912, in Sharp County, she was the daughter of George W. & N. Emily Hyslip. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lynn Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrid Allen; a son, Junior Allen; a brother, Everett Hyslip; and two sisters, Doshie Freeman and Bertha Jones.
Survivors include a son, George Allen, a sister, Mary Thom, four grandchildren, Jonathan, Christine, Anthony and Nancy; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ with Don Eubanks officiating. Burial was in Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
