Victorian cartoonist and illustrator. His most noted work, from 1884 until his death, was for the weekly comic Ally Sloper's Half Holiday.


Father was Edward BAXTER, born 03-Jun-1807 at Chorley and died 22-Dec-1864 in Manchester. Edward married his second wife, Barbara CALVERT (1825-1887), at the Manchester Cathedral on 03-Jun-1852.
