Emma Belle ("M'Belle") Nolen was the daughter of Edward F. and Emma V. (née Mackey) Nolen.

She is found on the 1900 US Census with her parents at Yalobusha County, Mississippi. In 1910, she was residing with a relative, Benjamin F. Mackey, in Jonesboro, Arkansas (her relationship is "niece").

She married Guy Williams Cobb at Craighead County, Arkansas on June 15, 1914. They were the parents of a son, Guy Jr., who was killed in action during WWII, and of a daughter, Minnie Bertha "Bee" (Mrs. Charles McGraw).

Funeral for Mrs. Emma Belle Nolen Cobb, 72, 7 Sun Valley, who died Sunday in her home, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Jonesboro. She was the wife of Guy W. Cobb, retired state highway engineer. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nolen of Water Valley, Miss. She moved to Jonesboro when she was eight. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Little Rock and had been a resident of Little Rock for 20 years. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles McGraw of Selmer, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
