"William Nall was born about 1772 in Chatham Co., NC the son of John and Martha Nall. He was named as his son in John Nall's will of 1780. William Nall died in Williamson Co., TN in Dec. 1842. William Nall was married probably about 1795 to Catherine. Her surname is said to have been Tucker but no proof has been found. In Chatham Co., NC a William Tucker owned land adjoining John Nall. Catharine Nall was born in Virginia about 1776. She was living in 1850 in Dickson Co., TN with her daughter Mary and son-in-law, Willis Johnston.
On 4 Feb 1796 in Chatham Co., NC, William Nall sold to John Vestal for two hundred and twenty pounds 319 acres of land formerly the possession of John Nall deceased and willed to the said William Nall his son.
In Chatham Co., NC on 30 Oct 1798 William Nall purchased from his brothers, John Nall and Richard Nall for one hundred pounds, 200 acres of land on Bare Creek.
On 17 Sept 1802 William Nall was granted by the State of North Carolina a tract of land containing thirty acres lying and being in the County of Chatham on the waters of Bear Creek.
On 1 Nov 1802 William Nall sold his 200 acre tract of land to Sion Record.
On 1 Nov 1803 he sold the 30 acres to David Record.
On Sept 29, 1810 William Nall of the State of Tennessee Williamson County, sold 26 acres on Little Bare Creek which he had purchased from Adam Weaver, William Tucker witnessed the deed.
On 4 Feb 1826 William Nall was granted by the State of Tennessee 100 acres of land on the waters of Turnbull. William Nall transferred title to Christopher A. Hollier on 17 July 1835.
On 17 Feb 1838 William Nall sold to his son Joseph Nall for three hundred and thirty dollars, 200 acres of land lying one part in Williamson and the other part in Davidson Counties. There is no indication as to when or how William Nall obtained the land.
In Williamson Co., Tenn, on 13 Dec 1842 William Nall sold to John McRay for five hundred dollars a 200 acre tract of land on the waters of Brush Creek.
On 30 Nov 1844 the heirs of William Nall who died in Williamson County, Tennessee sometime in December 1842 gave their power of attorney to Isaac Ivy to administer William Nall's estate. The instrument included the names, relationships, and current locations of William Nall's children then living.
No will of William Nall was found. An account of the settlement of his estate was filed by Isaac Ivy at the July term of Court in 1845."

3. Nancy Nall, born 1803 and died about 1830. Married Erasmus Rupard, 1820
4. Joseph H. Nall, born 1806 and died 1893. He married Nancy Underhill, 1829.
5. Mary (Polly) Nall, born 1806 and married Willis Johnson, 1821.
6. Williamson Nall, born about 1811 and died after August 1870. He married Isabell Laughlin, 1832.
7. Rebecca Nall, born about 1813-1820 and died after 1860.
8. Manerva Ann Tennessee Nall, born 1815 and died 1871. She married Thomas Mitchell Anderson, 1832.
8. Andrew Jackson Nall, born 1817 and married Nancy Laughlin, 1840.
10. Caroline Nall, born about 1819-1821. She married Lyndon Laughlin, 1835.
11. James M. Nall, born about 1820 and may have married Emiline unknown.
12. Nicholas Hardeman Nall, born about 1821-1825 and died between 1870-1880. He married Elizabeth J. unknown about 1845.

Williamson Co., Tennessee, Will Book 8, p. 13, 14, 15, 1843 No will was found but an inventory of sales in Feb 1843 of William Nall included the following names mentioned: John L. Nall, James Nall, Williamson Nall, Joseph Nall, Hardemann Nall, Jackson Nall, Catharine Nall, John C. Sellars, William Sellars, and Lindon Laughlin. The administrator was Isaac Ivy and the balance due the estate on Feb 1, 1845 was $335.80.

Will Book S, page 53, Williamson County, Tennessee "This indenture made the 30th day of November 1844 between John L. Nall and James M. Nall of the County of Davidson, Willis Johnson and Mary Johnson, his wife of the County of Dixon, Mitchell Anderson and Manerva Ann T. Anderson his wife of the County of Hickman, Andrew J. Nall, Nicholas H. Nall, Joseph Nall, Rebecca Nall, Catharine Nall, Williamson Nall and Lyndon Laughlin and Caroline Laughlin his wife, of Williamson County of the one part and Isaac Ivy of Williamson County of the other part, all of the State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said John L. Nall, James M. Nall, Willis Johnson and Mary Johnson his wife, Mitchell Anderson and Manerva Ann T. Anderson his wife, Andrew J. Nall, Nicholas Nall, Joseph Nall, Rebecca Nall, Catharine Nall, Williamson Nall, Lyndon Laughlin and Caroline Nall his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Isaac Ivy, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these present do grant, bargain and sell, transfer and assign unto the said Isaac Ivy all the rights, title, claim and interest which they or either of them have either in law or equity to estate, real, personal, or mined of William Nall who died in Williamson County, Tennessee, sometime in December 1842. The said Mary Johnson, Manerva Ann T. Anderson, Caroline Laughlin and Rebecca Nall being daughters of the said William Nall, dec'd and the said John L. Nall, Joseph Nall, Andrew J. Nall, Williamson Nall, Nicholas H. Nall being sons of the said William Nall, dec'd and the Catharine Nall being the widow of the said William Nall dec'd to have and to hold the same to him the said Isaac Ivy, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. And they, the said Johm Nall, James M. Nall, Willis Johnson and Mary his wife, Mitchell Anderson and Manerva Ann T. his wife, Lyndon Laughlin and Caroline his wife, Joseph Nall, Andrew J. Nall, Nicholas H. Nall, Rebecca Nall, Catharine Nall do by these present authorize and empower the said Isaac Ivy to sue for and recover in the names the said property or any part thereof or its proceeds and do apply it to his own use or to collect the same without suit for his own use and to do all other matters and things in collecting and giving acquittances for said property as they or either of them could do if personally present at the doing. In testimony whereof they have set their hands and seals the date first above written. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of us.
