Betty was born on March 14, 1932 in New Franklin, the daughter of Zerze Madison and Bessie Pearl (Johnson) O’Bryan.

Betty married Paul Monroe Dodson and he preceded her in death. She later married Kenneth Willis, and he also preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her children, Pheobe Gibbs of Mexico, Phillip Dodson (Pam) of Pacific, Billy Joe Dodson (Patty) of Hatton, and Penny Niekamp (David) of Mexico; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister,Zora Lee Long, of Imperial Beach, CA, and a brother Earl O’Bryan of Boonville, MO.

Along with her husbands, Paul and Kenneth, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Pauline Dodson Stuart and Sharon Boles; a son, Jerry Lee Dodson; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Betty had a zest for life and made you smile on the worst days. She was fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Betty really enjoyed dancing, her family and getting the most joy out of life.
