Effie married William Wood McKissack (1862-1936) in Uvalde County Texas on December 29, 1888.
On Feb.3, 1890 in Cuero, DeWitt, Texas their son William Wood McKissack Jr (Woody) was born.
Effie passed away with a miscarriage of their second child.
Effie died at Stratton, Texas on July 12, 1891.
Friends and acquaintances were respectfully invited to attend her funeral , which took place at 5 o'clock at Clinton, Texas.
