Anne is the daughter of Pierre Girouard (son of Jacques-Jacob Girouard and Marguerite Gaudreau) and Marie Comeau (daughter of Jean Comeau and Françoise Hébert). Her husband died aboard the ship. Five of their children and a niece also died. Anne and five of their children were hospitalized.
