Thomas G. Dyer, age 71 of Hayesville, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Murphy Medical Center. He was a native of Clay County, but had lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina for several years before moving back to Clay County in 1960. Thomas retired in 2011 after thirty-one years of service in maintenance with Murphy Medical Center. He was a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church. Thomas loved camping, going to Nascar races, and going to the beach.
He was the son of the late Thomas Carl and Katie Jo Lance Dyer.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville. The interment was in Sweetwater United Methodist Church Cemetery.
