Yockey and Corey Families Are Well United
Sioux City Iowa – The marriage of Miss Margaret Yockey and Ralph W. Cory of Smithland was quietly celebrated Wednesday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cory, 1408 Market street. The bride is the sister of Mrs. J. F. Cory and the groom is the brother of J. F. Cory. Two of the groom's sisters have married into the Yockey family and are now living near Smithland and thus it happens that four brothers and sisters in the Cory family have married four brothers and sisters of the Yockey family. Rev J. C. Ballou pastor of the First Christian church performed the ceremony. The bride and groom left for a wedding trip which is to include visits with the groom's relatives at Marshalltown, Toledo, and Tama, Iowa. Upon their return they will make their home near Smithland.
