Paul was born February 22, 1936 in Sayre, Pa., the son of the late George and Mavis Hausknecht Belcher.
Paul served in the United States Marines during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956, graduated from Sayre High School, attended auto mechanic school and worked as an auto mechanic at various garages, retiring from Williams Toyota in 2000. He enjoyed to hike, hunt and spend time with his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife Anne Belcher, son Jeff Belcher, daughter Lisa Belcher, brothers George and Dale Belcher.
Paul is survived by his children Bruce and Jennine Belcher of Sayre, Pa.; Paul and Sheron Belcher of Huntsville, Ala.; Pam Shabazian of Waverly, N.Y.; Sherry and John Gilliland of Missouri; Judy and William Aston of Elmira, N.Y.; step-son Michael and Karen Cannavino of Wysox, Pa.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brother Donnie Belcher of Athens, Pa., numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, Pa. Burial and military honors will be held at the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
