Winslow served as a First Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-17E "Texas #6" #41-9207, 64th Bomber Squadron, 43rd Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He resided in Weber County, Utah prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 20, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Accountant and/or auditor and also as Single, without dependents.
Winslow was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-17E, while on a mission, was attacked by Japanese zeros and crashed in East New Britain, Papua New Guinea during the war.
He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
