Mansel Willis Campbell, 101, (formerly of Union Star, MO) passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Country Club Nursing Home, Warrensburg, MO.

He was born August 13, 1914 in Helena, MO the son of John Hugh and Gertie Alice (Curd) Campbell.

On December 17, 1934 he married Hazel M. Hutchcraft in Union Star, MO. She preceded him in death on November 24, 1978.

Mansel served as a pastor in several Baptist churches in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. He retired after over 50 years in the ministry and stressed the value of hard work.

In addition to his wife, Mansel is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Campbell; eight brothers and sisters; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include sons, Teddy of Texas, E. Hugh of California; daughter, Alice (Wayne) Gayler, Holden, MO; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
