Double funeral services have been scheduled Monday morning for a Marion, Pa., man and wife who died within a day of each other this week.
Mrs. Bertha Izer Hartman, 76, died at her home Wednesday following a day's illness. Death came the following day to her 79-year old husband, Charles B. Hartman. Both members of the Church of the Brethren, they are survived by seven children, Mrs. Max Shaffer and Charles R. Hartman, Chambersburg; Guy Hartman, Mrs. Raymond Roti and Mrs. Garnet Rotz, Chambersburg, Route 6; Harry Hartman, Winchester, and Mrs. Lawrence Forney, Greencastle, Route 1.In addition, Mrs, Hartman is survived by a number of brothers and sisters, including one from this area, Mrs, Wesley Nowell of State Line. Twenty-three grandchildren and 19 great grandchildrenalso survive. The double funeral will start at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Browns Mill Church of the Brethren, officiated by the Rev. Frank Wagaman and the Rev. John Byers. Burial will,be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home in Greencastle from 7 to 9 this evening, or at the church an hour before the service Monday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further notice.
