Helen Mae Welsh Dymond of Dallas passed away peacefully at Celtic Hospice on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the age of 89.

She was born May 8, 1927, in Dallas, to her parents, Ralph Daniel and Mildred Jane Neely Welsh, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1945.

Helen worked in the library at College Misericordia, was an employee at Natona Mills, and spent countless hours managing and creating memories with her family at the Lakeway Driving Range and retired as a secretary from the alumni office at Wyoming Seminary.

Helen's hands were never idle. She was a seamstress, made beaded jewelry, porcelain dolls and always had a project in the works. She also loved to sing. She and her sister, Shirley, were the "Welsh Cookies," together they sang and performed at many local events. Helen was a member of the New Community Singers and sang in the choir at Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by her longtime companion, Robert Williams, whom she lived with and loved until her last day; her children, Linda Watkins, wife of the late William Watkins, Deltona, Fla.; Gary Dymond and wife, Mary, Dunwoody, Ga.; and Debra Dymond and fiancé, John Balut, Dallas; her grandchildren, Matthew Mark, Dallas; and Ryan Mark, Conshohocken; her sister, Shirley, wife of the late John Mahle, Dallas; brother, Robert, husband to the late Liz Welsh, Tennessee; many brothers- and sisters-in-law; and countless nieces and nephews ... she loved them all!

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Jane Durkin for years of care, the Meadow Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for her care over the last few months, and Celtic Hospice for their compassion and support during her final days.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lori Robinson, pastor, Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating. Those attending the funeral are to go directly to the church on Monday.

Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be mailed to the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, 25 Church St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, or to Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 12, Lehman, PA 18627.
