"Mrs. Marilla Van Buren, 81, widow of William Van Buren, died at her home on Elm street Sunday, February 18. She had been in failing health for the past few years. Mrs. Van Buren was born in Greene county November 21, 1858, the daughter of Conrad and Rachel (Butler) Mallett. Funeral services were held from the late residence Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. G. Lewis Porter officiating. Burial was at East Worcester. Surviving are two sons, George and Charles Van Buren of this village and two grandchildren, Miss Marion and Franklin Van Buren also of this village."
