Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Magdelene Guice, age 97, of Epps, Louisiana will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, January 26, 2003 in the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Rev. Walter Cloud and Ms. Doris Alexander will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bayou Macon Cemetery in Darnell, LA under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Mrs. Guice died January 24, 2003 at the West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. She was a longtime member of Herringville Baptist Church in Monticello, LA until her Nursing Home confinement. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Guice, five sons, Harry C., Hixon, Cecil, Jeff and Charles R. Guice, two daughters, Myrtle Duckworth and Dorothy Guice, her parents, William Carl Duckworth and Ora Aslean Knight Duckworth and two sisters, Idella Trapp and Rosella Prine.
She is survived by two sons, Huey Guice and his wife Lonette of Epps
and J. C. Guice and his wife Louise of Pioneer and a daughter-in-law, Willie Mae Guice of Epps, by twenty four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will by Billy Guice, Brian Guice, Ken McGrew, Charles Clack, Mark Duckworth and Mike Duckworth.
