Grace Bell Renner, daughter of David and Cora Waller Bartee, was born January 3, 1918, near Plad, Missouri.

She departed this life Monday, July 4, 2016, in her home, in Kingdom City, Missouri, at the age of ninety-eight years, six months, and one day.

On June 17, 1933, she was united in marriage to James Looney, and to this union one daughter was born. Mr. Looney preceded her in death.

On March 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Guy Laverne Renner, who passed away on May 18, 1965.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Lannie Todd; five brothers, Tommy, Charlie, David, John, and Marion Bartee; and four sisters, Mildred and Florence Bartee, Frankie Glass, and Betty Davis.

Grace is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Todd, of Kingdom City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lana Pennell, and her husband, Mike, Wanda Nevins, and her husband, Mike, Nancy Dixon, and her husband, Joe, and Mike Todd, and his wife, Sandy; seven great-grandchildren, Jamie Meyer, and her husband, Jason, Don Todd, and his wife, Linda, Shannon White, and her husband, Steve, Tom Todd, Jerrod Dixon, Melissa Comparato, and her husband, Jeff, and James Pennell, and his wife, Andrea; fourteen great-great-grandchildren, Austin and Raeghan Meyer, Summer, Alex, Alana, and Avery Todd, Chance and Austin White, Kaitlyn, Cole, and Trey Warfield, and Mikayla, Kyle, and Kendra Pennell; a brother, Perry Bartee, Sr.; a sister, Esther Bartee; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was born and raised in the Plad community. After she and James were married, Grace was a devoted homemaker to her husband and daughter. In 1943, Grace moved into Lebanon and made her home. She and Guy continued to make their home in Lebanon, and Grace worked as a seamstress for the Rice Stix Factory, which later became the H. D. Lee Company, for many years. During the Vietnam War, Grace did volunteer sewing for Fort Leonard Wood.

Grace had professed her faith in Christ and was a longtime member of Southern Heights Christian Church, where she worked in the nursery for forty years. She also was involved in the senior group at the church and enjoyed taking traveling with them.

She was very active in the Hughes Senior Center in Lebanon. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and liked visiting with her family and friends. Her faith was always the center of her life and she loved reading her Bible. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed being a grandmother.

Grace was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-eight years.

Memorial donations to the Southern Heights Christian Church, may be left at the funeral home.
