Mrs. Mary Eurith Comolli, 94-year-old former resident of Del Rio, died Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas.

Rites were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Cate-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel in Sweetwater with W.L. Wharton, Jr. of San Antonio officiating and burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater.

Mrs. Comolli was born March 7, 1887 in Clay County. Mrs. Comolli operated a flower shop in Del Rio from 1928 until 1938 when she moved to Sweetwater. There she was co-owner of the Sweetwater Floral Co. for 43 years.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Claire Comolli Lehde (husband Walter V. Lehde)and Eurith Elizabeth Comolli Whitworth of Sweetwater; a brother, Wylie E. Lovelady of Berryville, Ark.; five natural grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was an aunt of the late Judge Roger H. Thurmond.

Two step-grandchildren, Byron E. Whitworth of Plano, TX and Karen Marie Whitworth of Atlanta,GA. (step-children of her daughter, Elizabeth Comolli Whitworth).

Mary married Gustavus Comolli, on November 2, 1908 or(1910), and they had two children Paul Winfred and Eurith Elizabeth. Gus died in 1918 in the great flu epidemic.

Later Mary married Gus' brother, Paul Comolli in 1920, and had a daughter Virginia. Paul died in 1937. Both of Mary's spouses were brothers.
