Alfréda was survived by a son, François Cor- mier and his wife Manon of Gatineau, Québec; four grandchildren, Marie-Hélène, Francis, Frédéric, and Gabriel; five brothers and sis- ters, René Cormier and his wife Elizabeth, and Jean-Guy Cormier and his wife Michelle, all of Campbellton, New Brunswick, Madeleine (Cor- mier) Martin and her husband Paul of Sainte- Anne-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick, Thérèse (Cormier) Breau and her husband Peter of Shediac, New Brunswick, and Donat Cormier and his wife Donna of Niagara Falls, Ontario. She was also survived by three half-siblings from her father's first marriage to Clarina Ouel- lette, Fernand Cormier and his wife Margué- rite, and Gérard Cormier, all of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Rita (Cormier) Bélanger of Lac Baker, New Brunswick; as well as a sister-in- law, Anaïs (Desjardins) Cormier of Connecti- cut, and several nieces and nephews. Alfréda was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters from her father's first marriage, Lucie (Cormi- er) Lévesque, Jeanne (Cormier) Lajoie, Paul Cormier, Lionel Cormier, Lucien Cormier, Édwina (Cormier) Roy, Ludger Cormier, and Onile Cor- mier.
Visiting hours were held at O'Regan's Chapel in Saint-Léonard on Friday from 7 to 9 and Sat- urday morning from 9 to 10:30; and her funer- al service took place on Saturday, October 10, at 11am at L'Église de St-Antoine-de-Padoue in Saint-Léonard-Parent with interment in the adjoining parish cemetery. The family request- ed that for those who wish to do so, dona- tions may be made in Alfréda's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
