The body of Mrs. Lafayette Erskine was brought to the East Fernwood cemetery for burial,January 15th. Messrs. C.R. Erskine, C.A. Norris, C.E. Barns and M.M. Barnard, all of Fernwood, were her bearers, They brought her back so near her old home where your correspondent first met her and in the years that came and went learned to love her. She was of a quiet, unobtrusive nature. One must meet her in close relationship to know her well. A Christian woman and a lover " of all good words and deeds; for such as she are "the gates ajar."
