Rites Held For
Mrs. Will Stigall,
Davilla Resident
Funeral services for Mrs. Will (Maude) Stigall, 93, of Davilla, were conducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Goodnight Chapel in Bartlett, with the Rev. John R. Roark officiating. Burial was in the Davilla Cemetery.
Mrs. Stigall died early Sunday in a Temple hospital after a short illness.
She was born March 15, 1884 in San Gabriel to Sam and Sally Locklin, a pioneer Milam County family. She was an active member of the Davilla Baptist Church. Mrs. Stigall has resided in Davilla for the past 40 years.
She was married to Will Stigall in San Gabriel in 1900. She was preceded in death by her husband and three children.
Survivors include one son, Charles Stigall of Davilla; two daughters, Mrs. Lou Hoke and Mrs. Sue Parrish, both of Davilla; three grandchildren, Mrs. Larry Howell of Temple, Mrs. James Burns of Austin and Mrs. Clyde Moore of Davilla; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Butch Moore, Larry Howell, Adrain Moore Jr., Mike Burns, Gene Bartz, and Buddy Locklin.
