The Parents of Mary Anna were Jessie Moffitt born 1798 NY and Huldah Lashure born 1798 NY, having resided in Steuben Co, NY for a number of years giving birth to their children in that location. Jessie was hurt and died after a fight at an acquaintances home in Elkland, Tioga, PA in Nov. 1850.

The informant of the following death record seems to have mixed the two wives of Algernon Bliss together as noted in their prospective 1850-1900 US census details below. The interpretation is left to the researcher.

'Tioga, County Pennsylvania Death Record from 1893-1896'.
"Bliss Anna; Died 29 June 1895; White; Female; age 75 y 2m 30 days; Birth Place Bath, Death Place: Sabinsville; Cause of death Dropsy; Buried at Sabinsville Cemetery."

According to Joyce Tice a researcher, historian and publisher for the History Center on Main Street, Mansfield, PA in the Sabinsville cemetery there were no fees charged for burials. Few early records of burials at Sabinsville exist and there are many graves left unmarked. She has done extensive publishing and posting on line, of many cemetery surveys and documents for the Tri County area; of Tioga, Bradford and Chemung counties of Pennsylvania.
