Mr. Cox, a retired farmer, died in a Bastrop nursing home Wednesday night following a long illness.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for the services.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clydie Coats and Mrs. Cloydell Thompson, both of West Monroe; Mrs. Geneva Garnett, Leesville and Mrs. Annie Bell Pagan of Bastrop; one son, Claude Cox of Chatham; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
