Funeral services for Harmon A. Cox, 83, West Monroe, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Earl Ogg and the Rev. Leon Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn's.
Mr. Cox, a retired farmer, died in a Bastrop nursing home Wednesday night following a long illness.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for the services.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clydie Coats and Mrs. Cloydell Thompson, both of West Monroe; Mrs. Geneva Garnett, Leesville and Mrs. Annie Bell Pagan of Bastrop; one son, Claude Cox of Chatham; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
