AMSTERDAM - Ernest D. Farrington, 75, Amsterdam RD 3, died at his home on Sacandaga road, early yesterday morning, following a month's illness. For the past eight years, he had served as caretaker for the Children's Home.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Johnson-Lindsay funeral home, Rev. Dr. Frank T. Rhoad officiating.

Mr. Farrington was born in Bemis Heights on Oct. 2, 1880, and was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary J. Brandon, to whom he had been married for 53 years; one daughter, Miss Maud E. Farrington, Amsterdam, RD 3; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Courson, Cohoes; three brothers, William Farrington, Ohio; Leslie Farrington, Bridgeport, Conn.; and Guy Farrington, Schenectady; several nieces and nephews.

It is the request of the family that friends call at the funeral home today from 7 until 9 p.m.

Interment will be in the West Charlton Cemetery.
