John B. Wise Dead.

John B. Wise, aged seventy-eight years, died this afternoon at the home of his son, Ed Wise, of East Seventh, after a lingering illness of Bright's disease.

Mr. Wise was formerly a resident of Udall, Kan., after which he moved to Marshal Town, Iowa, where he resided until about five weeks ago, when he came to Winfield to make his home with his son, Ed. Wise.

He leaves ten children, five daughters and five sons, to mourn his death. Ed Wise of this city, Candy Kitchen of this city, Earl and Herbert Wise of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Willie Wise of Vibbart, Mo., and Chas. Wise of Logan, Iowa.

Mrs. Myrtle Henn of South Dakota, Mrs. Bonnie Cox, of El Paso, Texas Mrs. Florence Cravens of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Bertha McCombs of Council Bluffs, Missouri.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but will be announced later.
