First noted as being Maggie M. Hanson, in the 1910 census of Allen District of Walton County, living along Social Circle Road. She was at that time, 7 years old and living with her parents, Thomas and Johnnie (sp.), and four siblings, Roberta 11, Emmett 9, Thomas 5 and Fannie 3. Her father was a farmer and they were renting at the time.
Ten years later, in 1920, five young sibling had been added to the family. They were still living in the Allen District and her father still was farming. in the census of that year it indicates that all Maggie's older sibling were gone, leaving her the eldest still remaining of the seven at home.
I have no further information on her other that her gravesite here in Walton, indicating that she was married and had possibly died in childbirth or some other tragic event.

They had 3 children: John Thomas Durden, b. 10 Apr 1922 in Walton County GA; Lou Ella Durden, b. 3 Jul 1924 in Monroe, Walton County, GA. Their 3rd child (male) did not live at birth (1 Nov 1926), and was not given a name according to the baby's death certificate. Maggie also died due to the birth on 1 Nov 1926 (recorded on her death certificate).
