Ola Louise Pittman Curtis, 89, of Toccoa passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Powder Springs with Rev. Zachary Thurman and Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Interment will be held at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens in Powder Springs.

Mrs. Curtis was born in Cherokee County and lived most of her life in Powder Springs. She was a graduate of Chattahoochee Technical School and retired from Cobb General Hospital as a CNA. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, and homemaker. She was also a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Dallas since her youth.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Curtis Metcalf and her husband, Sonny of Ellijay; Linda Curtis Thurman Wilson of Toccoa; sister, Dorothy Woodbury of Melbourne, FL; brother, Eugene Pittman of Hiram; four grandchildren, Timothy Metcalf and his wife, Paige of Dacula, Steven Thurman and his wife, Angela of Toccoa, Keri Thurman Powell of Toccoa, Zachary T. Thurman and his wife, Jennifer of Frankfort, KY; eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Emory Vickery and Matthew Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ruth Pittman; brothers, Hollis and Billy Pittman; sisters, Modene Lewis and Betty Williams; sons-in-law, Steve Thurman and David Wilson.

Donations may be made in loving memory of Louise to Cross Roads Baptist Church c/o Ronnie L. Osborne, 97 Homer Cochran Road, Dallas, GA 30132.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
