He was born to Clarence and Allie Coggins Belcher.
He was retired from the Texas Department of Correction and he and his wife of 58 years, Janie Moore Belcher raised four children.
He was a loving husband with the biggest heart of any man and became a super hero "Paw-Paw". His quick wit made every person that ever met him never leave without a smile, which inevitably made him many friends.
He is survived by two sons, Johnny Belcher and his wife Dottie and Jerry Belcher and wife Jeanie; two daughters, Sandra Watson and husband Danny and Sharon Stanfield; four grandson, Jeremy Watson, Brett Stanfield, Bradley Belcher and Joel Whitaker; four granddaughters, Amanda Crane, Angela Hanes, Leah Watson and Julie Belcher; a brother, Billy Don Black and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sister, Doris Baker and Francis Sheffield.
