Delta, UT-Amos Ward Hardy, 87, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Delta, Utah. Born on September 26, 1928 to Martin Church and Annie Mae Watson Hardy in Red Oak, Virginia. He moved to Farmington, UT with his family as a young child. Married Maida Talbot on October 18, 1947 in Elko, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on October 8, 1964.
Amos's life consisted of family, faith, cattle and horses. Ran a ranch in Payson, Utah for 18 years and then moved his family to Delta, where he ran the IFA feedyard until retirement. In all things Amos showed honesty, integrity and wisdom. His love for his wife, Maida, endured through their time apart and we know he is overjoyed to be reunited with her. Together they had 7 children, 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Srvived by children: Julie (Carl) Robinson, Vernal; Craig (Pam) Hardy, Jurupa, CA; Brett Hardy, Mesquite, NV; Delon (Jean) Hardy, Wellington; Lisa Hardy, Orem; Shauna (Kyle) Young, Myton; Darin (Jordan) Hardy, Hinckley; brother: Raymond Hardy, Layton; sisters: Virginia (Darrell) Frazier, Layton; Catherine (Paul) Willy, Centerville. Preceded in death by wife: Maida Talbot Hardy; parents: Martin and Annie Mae Hardy; and siblings: Heber, Eva, Elizabeth, Olene, Josephine.
Funeral: Friday, April 15, 11 a.m., Delta 4th Ward Church, 197 S. 300 W., Delta. Viewings: Thursday, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Nickle Mortuary, 190 S Center; and Friday, 9:30-10:40 a.m., prior to service. Burial Delta City Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.nicklemortuary.com.
