Ms. Clara Jean Brewer, 60, of Bimble, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2016 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Cephuas and Ora Shelton Goodin born on July 13, 1955 in Hamilton, OH.

Ms. Brewer was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed reading, watching wrestling and was an avid UK fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Reba Sue Lowery, Brenda Nadine Goodin and Dorothy Jeanette Goodin and two brothers, James Ben Goodin and Cephuas Goodin Jr.

Survivors include two sisters, Oma Lou Lawson and husband, Dearl, of Girdler and Buellia Marie Brewer of Barbourville; several nieces and nephews among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted at the Old Ark House of Prayer Saturday, May 28 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Tommy Frazier, Rev. Wayne Holder and Rev. Ray Napier officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Shelton Family Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Bill Lowery, Glenn Dickerson, Caleb Brewer, James Brewer, Dearl Lawson and Billy Castle.

Friends may call at the church Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M., Friday between 12 and 9 P.M. and Saturday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
