Amelia H. Crocker, 75, of Laurel, died on Friday, July 8, 2005, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, Laurel. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel. Interment will be in Myrick Cemetery in Jones County. The Rev. Jimmy Holder will officiate. Mrs. Crocker was a retired hairdresser and a Baptist. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronny and Jan Crocker of Laurel; her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Freddie Meador of Laurel; her mother, Fannie Touchstone Holifield of Laurel; her brothers, Gordon Holifield, Lavon Holifield and L.B. Holifield, all of Laurel, Lewis Holifield of Nebraska and Billy Ray Holifield of New Orleans; her sisters, Bernice Keyes and Linda Flowers, both of Laurel, and Myrtle Hernandez of Oceanside, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of the arrangements.
