Jane was the daughter of HANNAH POLK and ISAAC MCKELVEY. She had a sister named Mary Ann who married a Christopher Vandergriff. Jane is buried with Charles and their daughter, Bernice here at Westview. Also, Jane had a younger sister named Nora who was born in 1860 and who died at 5 years old in 1865. She was the first person who was buried in the Douglasville City Cemetery. The land for the cemetery was donated to the 1st Methodist Church by her father, Isaac McKelvey. Mary Ann is buried there also.
