Please join us at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Frederick Ward Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9029 Grand Mesa Ave., for a memorial service to honor and pay final respects to Lyle Robert Espinosa.
Lyle Robert Espinosa passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, after a month-long hospitalization due to a lower-GI bleed.
Lyle was a son, brother, husband, father, coach, teacher and a well-loved man.
His life was a lesson is kindness, caring, service and love.

Lyle never met a stranger in his life. He loved people and was eager to be an “element of the set.” He developed friends throughout all the places he lived and traveled, and kept in touch with those friends for a lifetime.
He was a strong man who enjoyed and excelled in sports including football, basketball, baseball and golf. He coached those same sports and helped boys grow into men.

Lyle was a proud father and grandfather. He had a special and unique relationship with each of his children and understood each for their own individuality. He helped each child develop into responsible, honest and hard-working adults. He taught them the plan of salvation and cleaved to his faith that his family would be together through eternity.
Lyle worked hard all his life and built Hobby Horse Farms of Firestone, an equestrian business that still operates today. His kindness extended to the animals he cared for and loved. He raised several Grand Prix horses that competed in top-level equestrian competition. He loved the relationships he formed through those associations and took pride in understanding the nuances of the sport of kings.
His intelligence and memory served him well to the day he died, recounting stories of friends and family and the times they shared.

Lyle is survived by his one true love, Kris Espinosa; daughters, Kalyn Peter (Gregg Peter), Kym Espinosa, Kristi Wasson (Gary Wasson), Kendra Espinosa Schaffer (Brendan Schaffer); and son Ben Espinosa (Tina Espinosa). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and by stepson Keith Randolph (Pat Randolph). He is also survived by brother Howard (Skip) Espinosa (Margo Espinosa).
