MRS. WM H. GILES DIES AT AGE OF 80
Former Taberg Road Resident Was Devoted Member of M. E. Church.
Camden, April 17—Mrs. Ida Maria Brewster Giles, 80, wife of William Herbert Giles, passed away late Friday at her home on the Shady Lake Road after an illness of a week. She was born at Skinner Settlement, a daughter of the late George J. and Sarah C. Schott Brewster. Her marriage to Mr. Giles took place in Camden in 1879. Her girlhood had been spent at Skinner Settlement and after her marriage she and Mr. Giles lived for 55 years at their farm on the Camden-Taberg Road. They sold the farm about a year ago and had since lived on the Shady Lake Road. Mrs. Giles was a devoted member and an active worker in the Methodist Episcopal Church for 58 years and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Leslie of Perryville and Brewster of Camden; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Witzigman, Camden; eight grandchildren and a greatgrandchild; also a sister, Mrs. H. B. Rosenthal, Worcester, N. Y. The Rev. T. J. Williams will officiate at funeral services to be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home of B. A. Sanborn & Son. Interment will be made in Forest Park Cemetery.
