Obituary
Freda Coleen Klingler Haskovec died Saturday evening, April 23, 2016.

Mrs. Haskovec was 86 years old.

Born June 24, 1929, in Gettysburg, S.D., Freda was the daughter of David and Bertha Glover Klingler.

She graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa.

Through a number of life experiences, including boarding school on the Sioux Pine River Reservation, voracious reading, and her interactions with others, she developed, early on in her life, a deep wisdom about the art of living and forming and maintaining relationships with others. She was highly intelligent, creative and sociable, working in a variety of crafts. An excellent cook and hostess, Freda thought nothing of preparing dinner for a couple or a luncheon for 50 from her husband's office. She was a loving wife, mother and friend, who was fond of saying, "You don't throw people away." If you were a friend, you were a friend for life. A very spiritual person, Freda knew that there is a God and He was with her from the age of 5. Her life was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eldest son, Michael Tilton; brother, Boyd Klingler; and sister, Marilyn Salem.

Survivors: In addition to her husband of 47 years, Dr. Charles A. Haskovec Jr., Freda is survived by her sons, Danny Haskovec and his wife, Sharon, and Bradley Haskovec; and daughter, Mary Jane England.
