Death of Dan T. Sealock

Former Member County Board of Commissioners.

Daniel T. Sealock, 1033 South Laura avenue, died yesterday morning at his home. Mr. Sealock was one of the early settlers of this county. He came here from Wayne county, Indiana, and has made Sedgwick county his home since then. Mr. Sealock is well known over the entire county. He lived on a farm in Gypsum township for twenty years. Since then he has lived in Wichita, acting as county commissioner part of the time.

Daniel T. Sealock was born in Wayne county, Indiana, November 14, 1840. In December 1871, he was married to Miss Emma E. Nudd. In 1871 Mr. and Mrs. Sealock removed from Indiana to Sedgwick county. They lived on a farm in Gypsum township southeast of town, until ten years ago, when Mr. Sealock was elected county commissioner. At that time he moved into Wichita and has made this his home since.

Mrs. Sealock died soon after they came to this city. Miss Ida Sealock has lived with her father since the death of Mrs. Sealock.

The funeral will be held from the residence, 1033 South Laura avenue, this morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will take place at Branson cemetery, twelve miles southeast of the city. Rev. N.E. Harmon will conduct the services. Rev. Harmon was a member of the board of county commissioners at the same time when Mr. Sealock was a member.
