John J. Haile Jr., 68, passed away April 22, 2016, in his Reading residence.

He was the husband of Carol J. (Batzel) Haile.

Born in Danville, he was a son of the late John J. and Catherine R. (Concannon) Haile.

He was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Shamokin in 1965 and Bloomsburg University in 1971.

John was a certified public account for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

John was treasurer of the Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsman and member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Brendan’s Division 1 of Reading.

He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of St. George with entombment to follow. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 to 11 am. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
