Mrs. Idell Huskey Good, age 93, of Lenoir, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. Born March 17, 1923 in Union County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Milas and Bertie Pritchard Huskey and wife of the late Jack H. Good.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Billy Charles Good; three brothers, Ernest Huskey, Paul Huskey and wife Jean, W.M. Huskey and wife Clara and one sister, Marvene Huskey.
Mrs. Good was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church, a graduate of Collettsville High School and Clevenger's Business College. She had retired in sales from Singer Furniture and from the News Department of the Lenoir News Topic.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Duggins and husband Ken of Lenoir; two sisters, Josephine Baker and husband Wayne of Lenoir; Delores Younce of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Joey Good and wife Christina of Collettsville, Julie Good and Josh Good of Lenoir, Luke Duggins and wife Amber of Raleigh, Kenneth Duggins and wife Janet of Hickory, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of Mrs. Good's life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
