Gabrielle Roy was the first of thirteen children to David & Antionette Roy. Given her role as oldest sister, and matriarch of the family for the last twenty-four years of her life, it's only fitting that the day she was baptised was on one of the first Mother's Day celebration. She married Joseph Donovan in 1935, and had four children: Carol King, deceased, of North Carolina; Maurice, of Fall River; Kathe Ferreira, of Somerset; and Gail Custadio of Dartmouth.
