A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home in Monroe City.
JoAnne was born on March 4, 1963 in Hannibal, the daughter of William P. and Jeanne Marie (Hays) Smith.
JoAnne is survived by her father, William P. Smith of Monroe City; son, Billy Ray White (Jamie) of Arlington, TX; daughter, Summer Hatch (Shawn) of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Mikaela & Ethan Womack; sister, Jennifer Smith of St. Louis; brother, Bud Smith of Monroe City; sister, Janet Painter (John) of Monroe City; brother, Jeff Smith of Monroe City; sister, Mary Sprague of Monroe City; brother, Tom Smith (Barb) of Monroe City; sister, Linda Holland(Lennie) of Sedalia ; a special friend, Calvin Jones of Monroe City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
JoAnne was a free spirit who loved life. JoAnne enjoyed watching soap operas; she loved her dogs, cat and pigs. JoAnne also really liked her job and the people she encountered. She never met a stranger. JoAnne loved her children and grandchildren very much enjoying all the time spent with them.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Marie Smith.
