Born in the Rhine Province of Prussia to Jean/Jean Kinn and Mary Magdelana Mueller. She, her parents and siblings arrived in New York City on 31 Oct 1837 aboard the "Albany".

Death of Mrs. EckertMrs. Barbara Eckert, aged 79 years, died yesterday at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jake Sperning of Kingston, of general debility. She is survived by her husband, who is 84 years old, and the following children: Mrs. Sperning, Kingston; Mrs. F. Mayer, New York; Mrs. Clousing, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Trexler, Philadelphia; John of Danville and William of Everett, Michigan; also sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday morning from the home of her daughter. interment will be at Danville, her former home.
