Born Jan 21, 1940, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Cleason Paul and Martha Belle (Showers) Arentz. He lived his early life in Gettysburg.
Mr. Arentz attended Gettysburg High School.
He and his wife, Peggy Ann (Emory) Arentz, were married March 26, 1960, in Smithsburg. They moved to the present residence following their marriage.
Prior to retiring on disability in 1982, Mr. Arentz was employed by Nippleworks in Blue Ridge Summit and was a self employed carpenter.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Arentz is survived by two sisters Nadine Arentz Barbour of Gettysburg; one brother, Wilson P. Arentz of Biglerville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Kennedy in 1998.
Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Eugene M. Cline officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Saturday in the funeral home.
